Website Committee

The website committee is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the web site, including the Repository and Shopping Cart.

WSO Website and Database Committee report presented at the April 2017 Meeting

  • The Database and Website Committee meets quarterly. The next meeting will be held the third Saturday in May on the 20th of 2017 at 2pm.
  • The Google Webmaster Tools were run to ensure malware was no longer on the repository and that google would not flag the site as containing malware. It was being flagged even after the malware was removed.
  • A request for updating the website to maintain a mailing list for the MPS Outreach subcommittee was received
  • A request was received from the fellowship to add an option to create different printable output formats for meeting lists. By Zip code, by Days of the week, etc.

 

The following shows monthly trends for users accessing the adultchildren.org website. Figures for March:

  • 57,036 User Sessions in March up from 49,142 in February
  • 40,369 Unique users up from 34,767
  • 115,044 page views, up from 96,999
  • The bounce rate (users leaving the site immediately) was 63.46%, down from 64.18%
  • The pages accessed the most often were
    • Laundry List – 22,221 views, 19.32% of the total page views
    • Find a meeting – 9,465 views (8.2%)
    • Find a meeting Search results 6,521 views (5.6%)
    • Literature – 4.028 (3.5%)
    •  The Problem – 3,636 views (3.1%)

Users continue to come from across the globe with the top 5 session counts from:

    • United States – 84% of users
    • Canada – 4%
    • United Kingdom – 3.6%
    • Australia – 1.7%
    • Ireland – 0.5%

The Database and Website Committee meets quarterly.

The next meeting will be held the third Saturday in May on 20, 2017 at 2pm.

  • Malware was found on the repository and removed.
  • Information for the upcoming ABC and AWC were placed more prominently on the home page.
  • Updates were made to the free literature page.
  • Support is being provided to the MPS Outreach subcommittee in building a mailing list

  • 96,999 page views, down from 107,572
  • The bounce rate (users leaving the site immediately) was 64.18%, up from 64.09%

  • Laundry List – 19,298 views, 27% of the total page views
  • Find a meeting – 7,227 views (7%)
  • Find a meeting Search results 4,811 views (5%)
  • Literature – 3,587 (4%)
  •  The Problem – 2,359 views (2%)

  • The Database and Website Committee meets quarterly. The next meeting will be held the third Saturday in February on 18, 2017 at 2pm.
  • A disclaimer was added to the “How To Videos” page hosted on Youtube to remind users that Youtube may suggest other videos that are not affiliated with ACA  
  • Updates were made to the website which include Media Mail Verbiage, Update to the ACA Logo usage page, free literature downloads, and information on recovery chip pricing

  • The Database and Website Committee meets quarterly. The next meeting will be held the third Saturday in February on 18, 2017 at 2pm
  • The Free Literature page was updated with several downloadable pamphlets.
  • A set of posting guidelines is being drafted for content posted to the repository. This is for consistent look and feel for font type and size, etc.
  • Initial Guidelines to be reviewed are:
    • 12 Pt Georgia Font
    • Using Hyperlinks to detailed documents to avoid overcrowding a page
