The Literature Committee is responsible to the WSO board for processing and monitoring all WSO approved literature,including the ComLine, digital and audio books.  Their responsibility includes review and gaining approval of new literature and translated materials.

Most of the time over the last month has gone in to preparing and attending the ABC, and launching two efforts identified by the ABC: (1) paginating the e-BRB and (2) developing guidelines for Social Media.  The volunteers for these two efforts will report back their recommendations to the Board.

 

In addition, the Literature Committee followed up with the assigned  tasks associated with the ACA WSO Inventory/Order Processing Audit.

Most of the time over the last month has gone in to preparing for the first ABC held abroad - the 2013 ACA WSO ABC in Birkerød, Denmark (near Copenhagen).  The Literature committee undertook the task to begin the preliminary draft of the 2013 ABC Delegate’s Packet.

As a preliminary matter, the fellowship should know that all the work of the literature committee is done by most of the Board members contributing their time and expertise.  For example, the updated Literature Policy Pamphlet was laid out by Leanne, with contributions from DiAnne, Joan and Phyllis.

 Most of the time over the last month has gone in to  preparing a report of our trip to the Signal Hill office.

e-BRB sales for February were 283 e-books sold. All tolled, there have been 1,442 e-BRBs sold since it went live in August.

Spanish BRB - Ines Z., Spanish Translation/Group Liaison Trusted Servant held a conference call on Sunday, March 3, 2013, with those who had responded to our e-mail requesting volunteers to finish the translation effort of the BRB.  On the same day she also met with the North American Spanish Translation group to continue the effort to verify the translation given to us by the Spaniards.

As a preliminary matter, the Literature Committee would like to thank the Board and Staff for their hard work on all things relative to literature.  For example, the ACA Essentials tri-fold, brought to us by Trustee Karen on behalf of ACA Group Ten 029, was finalized with in put from Joan, will be put in the shopping cart by Scott, our Webmaster, and produced for sale by DiAnne, the Signal Hill Office Manager.

 

Most of the time over the last month has gone in to finalizing the first review of the audio book and sending them to the producer who will begin making revisions shortly.

Most of the time over the last month has gone in to getting the e-BRB on line and jump starting the Meditation Book Project.

 

The e-BRB is now available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.  Since being upload on or about August 16, 2012, there were 113 purchases of the e-BRB.

Most of the time over the last month has gone in to getting the Commemorative Statement prepared, circulated, approved, and sent to the Printer.
