Literature Committee

The Literature Committee is responsible to the WSO board for processing and monitoring all WSO approved literature,including the ComLine, digital and audio books.  Their responsibility includes review and gaining approval of new literature and translated materials.

ComLine
Phyllis R. chaired an organizational meeting for the revived ComLine January 24. Cheryl H. designed the first draft; Cheryl and Robin R will work on finalizing and standardizing a template for digital delivery via PDF.

Dear Adult Children, 

We are about to relaunch the ComLine newsletter where experiences, strength and of hope are shared by adult children from around the world. 

The ComLine will be published quarterly with an emphasis on the Steps and Traditions, but other topics are welcomed too:

  • January Edition  - Steps 1, 2, 3 & Traditions 1, 2, 3.  
  • Target due date for submissions is November 30.
  • April Edition       - Steps 4, 5, 6 & Traditions 4, 5, 6.  
  • Target due date for submissions is February 28.
  • July Edition        - Steps 7, 8, 9 & Traditions 7, 8, 9.  
  • Target due date for submissions is May 30.
  • October Edition - Steps 10, 11, 12 & Traditions 10, 11, 12.  
  • Target due date for submissions is August 31.

We extend a special invitation to all adult children: share your recovery experience in the language of your childhood. Selected shares will be published as written--not translated into English. All shares will be considered.  The deadline for submissions is 30 days prior to the month the edition is to be published.

Robin R has a new role as Literature Committee Design Editor (LCDE). In her new role, the LCDE will work on centralizing and maintaining all literature projects, among other duties.

General – During the month of July, the Literature Committee has continued to work on finalizing the website, the roll out of the audio Fellowship Text (a-BRB), and worked with the North American Spanish Translation Committee on finishing the Spanish Fellowship Text.

General – Over the last month, the Literature Committee continued on-boarding the Literature Committee Production Assistant (LCPA), conducted an extensive review of the website, and communicated with members wishing to be a part of the Literature editorial review process for reestablishing the ComLine.
