ACA WSO Teleconference of Board Trustees

To participate on the Second Saturday of each month, at 1 PM Central time (11:00 AM Pacific Time) call 712-432-0075 and when requested enter the code 427266#. Visitors are given a few minutes to introduce themselves and then are invited to listen in for the next hour and a half as the Board conducts business for the ACA Fellowship. After an ACA member in recovery has attended at least five board teleconferences they become eligible to join the board (subject to nomination by a current board member). Meanwhile, all ACA members are encouraged to volunteer on a committee even if they are NOT a member of the board.

26th Annual Camp Recovery April 25-27

Camp Recovery is held every year during the Spring season. Camp is a weekend of self-care where you and your "inner" child have the opportunity to grow, heal, play, discover, reflect, and work on yourselves. The 2013 camp program was "Out of the Night, Into the Light". We venture deeper into our recovery with enthusiasm through workshops, 12-step meetings, crafts, music, drumming, hiking, body movement, dancing, and fellowship. Camp Recovery is located in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California, at an elevation of nearly 7,000 feet. Second Annual Regional ACA Conference St Petersburg FL Saturday May 17, 2014

ACA Inner Child Summer Camp Retreat in Plymouth, CA  September 5, 6 & 7

You are invited to let your inner child frolic and share recovery with other adult children. Nestled in the scenic foothills near Placerville, 45 minutes from Sacramento. Day hikes, live tortoise tour, hot tub, guided meditation, swimming, fishing, jello-fight, fingerpainting, 12 step meetings, nightly campfire, ACA speakers. There are deluxe camping accomodations ranging from you sleeping in your own tent, primitive cabins with a view, etc., hot water showers and enclosed restrooms.  Don't miss out, space is limited. ACA Arizona Retreat at Mingus Mountain September 5-7

The retreat is the weekend of September 5-7th, and the spaces available are limited. Our retreat is a balance of focused meetings, free spirited fun, fellowship, and recovery. You must be working  a 12 Step program to attend. Mingus Mountain is located 1.5 hours northwest of Phoenix Arizona in the Black Hills mountain range. 2014 will be our 29th year on the mountain. So come on up and enjoy the  beautiful mountain scenery, serenity of the cool pines, great 12 Step fellowship, plentiful food, frisbee golf, and lots of fun. More details here

1st European ACA Meeting Riga, Latvia September 24-26, 2014

During the ACA Annual Business Meeting in Copenhagen in April 2013 there came out an idea about possible meeting for European ACA groups. Latvian members expressed willingness to organize this event. The topic of the event will be dedicated to discussion about cooperation and sharing experience between groups in different states. We will share our hope, strength and story also in ACA 12-steps meetings that will take place during the event. Please note that the members of non-European states also are welcomed. We will enjoy ourselves and our “inner” child in the party and guided excursion around Old Riga. The weather in September in Latvia is very often beautiful –it is warm and sunny, golden leaves cover the parks. We hope that the event will fulfill all us with a light of joy and hope. ACA TREK: Meditating ACA Promises in Koli National Park, Finland 1-3 August 2014

We will study our lives in the light of ACA promises. On Saturday we walk in the wild national park and concentrate on the promises using various exercises during breaks. ACA meetings will take place Friday and Saturday evening after dinner. We will trek about 10 km in rough terrain far from roads, climbing from the shore of lake Pielinen up to the top of Koli, carrying only daily supplies. You should be in healthy condition and have a travel insurance. We recommend that you will carry a swimming suite, a pencil, waterproof clothing and boots, mosquito repellent, and enough food for yourself. Starting the hike from the lake shore, visiting Pirunkirkko (Devils church) cave and climbing up to the highest peak Ukko Koli.Evening aca meeting, sauna and accomodation in Eheytys.
